Cheap Floppy Drives
Even though some
computers you can purchase today do not include a floppy drive, they still
have their usefulness. And, they are so
cheap to buy now it's hard not to include one
in your system.
For example, it
you need to move information from one computer to another and don't want
to burn a CD for an 800K file, floppies are great. Or, you may need to
boot from a floppy if your system crashes. Floppy booting is useful if you
want to reformat your hard drive or even low-level format it to really
start anew. Remember, high level formatting does not really get rid of all
the information on your hard drive. Much is still recoverable.

then you should get a floppy drive. They are really
inexpensive now
and you can pick one up for only a few dollars.
Floppy drives are very easy to install. New motherboards still have a floppy
connector built on. You just connect the cable to the motherboard and the
other end to the floppy drive and the BIOS recognizes it and installs it.
